Aida Pouryeganeh/ Book Edition

Aida Pouryeganeh is a contemporary Iranian artist based in London whose practice explores the relationship between individual experience and external structures of power. She studied painting, illustration, and fine art for over ten years, completing her MA in Fine Arts with Distinction. Her paintings unfold through instinctive movement, layers of interruption, and subtle adjustments that guide the composition as it takes form.

Aida’s practice frequently engages with themes of control, visibility, and the unseen forces that shape behaviour. Working with a restrained palette, she focuses on the tension between material presence and the underlying conditions that inform it. Her paintings reflect a continuous search for clarity within complex environments, moving between abstraction, psychological space, and political atmosphere. She continues to expand her visual language through ongoing series that investigate how external systems leave marks on inner life.
