Ana Priscila Rodriguez/ Silenced

Ana Priscila Rodriguez is a visual artist based in the Netherlands whose work explores the emotional and psychological dimensions of the human experience through photography, mixed media, and collage. She graduated cum laude from the Academy of Fine Arts in Utrecht (HKU) in 2006, specializing in Photography and Intermedia, following earlier studies in History and Graphic Design in Mexico City.

Through a hybrid artistic process that combines analogue photography, digital manipulation, and hand-assembled collage, Rodriguez creates layered, painterly images that move between reality and imagination. Her work is recognized for its intimate atmosphere, emotional depth, and recurring use of the red line as a metaphor for memory, vulnerability, transformation, and human connection.

Rodriguez has exhibited extensively in the Netherlands and internationally in galleries, festivals, and cultural institutions across Europe and the United States, including Pulchri Studio in The Hague, BBA Gallery Berlin, and O Gallery Denmark. She is a member of Pulchri Studio and has been part of the international artist directory of Beautiful Bizarre Magazine for more than three years, where her work has also been featured and interviewed on multiple occasions.

Her work has been published in international art magazines, curatorial platforms, and editorial projects dedicated to contemporary art and fine art photography. In addition, she has developed interdisciplinary collaborations with artists, musicians, writers, and international cultural initiatives.

Rodriguez has received multiple international awards and distinctions, including First Place in the Conceptual Category at the Fine Art Photography Awards (FAPA) 2024, the Silver Star Award at the ND Awards 2024, and the People’s Choice Award at the BBA International Photography Prize in Berlin, alongside numerous honorable mentions and nominations in international competitions such as PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris, the European Photography Awards, and the International Photography Awards (IPA).
