‘’How I became a sculptor still eludes me. I had a lifetime as a fashion & advertising photographer and academic, winning awards and medals for the work, shooting for clients as diverse as Vogue magazine and Rio Tinto, in Europe, the States, Singapore, Japan, India, Iraq, and Turkey. Fellowships in the Arts, Design and Photography plus a Masters degree and a Doctorate in Philosophy possibly all helped form the ideas that I subsequently turned into the 'WINGED MINOTAUR' series of sculptures but other than the initial starting point - a bag of broken toys intended for a still life fine art photographic series, and then used for the first 3D attempt, I'm still not sure how I arrived where I am now.

In the past 5 years, I've had the work featured in magazines and books on Sculpture; won a major prize at the 2023 London Biennale and prizes and 'Highly Recommended' awards from all over Europe and the United States as well as being represented by the Sculpture Park in Surrey, the Rothschild's gallery in Hampshire and an established gallery in Bristol (all in the UK). The work is continuing and will do so as long as the inspiration takes me.’’
