Doris Weglehner/ Forgotten
‘’I came to painting in 2025, following an inner impulse that continues to shape the intensity of my work. My background as an educator, energy practitioner, and mother of two informs a holistic understanding of transformation, perception, and human development. My professional journey has included Montessori education and NLP, as well as leading the private Sokrates Schule Mühlviertel. My paintings are invitations to inner movement. They open spaces in which perception, memory, and presence can overlap, encouraging a return to something essential — to one’s own inner strength, awareness, and connection. Nature is a fundamental source of my work. I do not perceive its power as something to be possessed, but as something to be experienced, felt, and carried forward. The use of natural materials deepens this connection. Each pigment, salt, resin, and wooden element carries its own character and participates in the transformation of the work. The handcrafted wooden frames are an integral part of each piece. They extend the painting beyond the image itself and establish a dialogue between colour, material, nature, and permanence.
Today, painting has become a space of exploration — a place where energy becomes gesture, emotion becomes colour, and an image is allowed to find its own form. ‘’
