Eva Kristina Achilles is a self-taught artist based in Munich. In her work, she channels her experience as a political scientist and her three-year training as a classical opera singer by treating the canvas as a stage where philosophical inquiry meets the haptic character of paint.
Her work is a reinterpretation of Art Nouveau. She honors its tradition of merging art with daily life—extending her practice from the canvas to functional objects like screens, decorative cases, and jewelry. Her process is one of synesthesia, infusing ornamentation with the mechanical energy of Steampunk, the fragmented logic of Cubism, the magic of Post-Impressionism, and the vibrant pulse of Sci-Fi elements and music. She plays with the tension between 2D and 3D, impasto, asymmetry, structured chaos, and abstract expression - dynamism is the ambition. She works with highly pigmented acrylics. For her, aesthetics are never merely decorative; they are a deliberate tool to explore the human condition, womanhood, and our environment. Achilles is a builder of aesthetic bridges, connecting a deep artistic drive with a visionary, multidisciplinary soul.
