Hanne is an American-British contemporary painter (b. 1984, Pittsburgh, PA, USA) based in London, England. Working primarily with acrylics, she creates abstract paintings shaped by memory, atmosphere, and a sustained engagement with the natural world. With formal training in Graphic Design (BFA, MA) and a background in creative direction, she brings a refined sensitivity to form, colour, and composition to her painterly language.

Rooted in memories of the northern Appalachian forests of her childhood, Hanne's practice is guided by a desire to return inwardly to the landscapes that first shaped her sense of place. Recollections of woodland space, shifting weather, and transient moments in nature recur throughout the work, which is characterised by expressive brushwork, surfaces shaped through movement, and earth-toned palettes.

Central to her practice is the relationship between outer landscapes and inner states of being. Through abstraction, Hanne creates paintings that open a space for stillness, inward reflection, and a felt connection to the natural world.
