Jane Blake/ Fantasy

Jane Blake is a mixed media artist based in sheffield in the UK. She graduated from Huddersfield University with a BA honours in creative textiles in 2004 and, since then, has exhibited work in galleries throughout the UK and sold work worldwide. She also regularly hosts workshops and undertakes commissions. Inspired by mythology, mental health, disability and other socially important issues, she creates surreal art dolls from recycled hand dyed fabrics and other materials. The techniques she uses are varied, including using found objects to build a structure on, needle felting, sculpting, stitching, etc
