Jonathan Straight is a photographer based in Yorkshire, UK. His practice began in earnest in 2014 when he transitioned from a career as an environmental entrepreneur. His work is primarily in black and white and covers documentary, portrait and street genres. Street photography remains his key interest, shooting with prime wide-angle lenses requiring a close distance to the subject.
"I enjoyed a successful career as an entrepreneur, but creativity was always at the centre of the work I did. Having spent 25 years transforming the landscape of recycling in the UK, I have devoted my attention to more creative pursuits: writing, presenting for television and artistic photography."
