Julia is an emerging artist from the UK, based in Lancashire, where she is inspired by the moody moorland! She also draws inspiration from her travels and study of languages; currently learning Arabic, she has a strong interest in Middle Eastern and Islamic design and studied Russian as an undergraduate. She is also a beginner in Armenian and Georgian, having been enamoured by the Caucasus region many years ago. Travelling in Georgia allowed her to become further acquainted with its culture.
Julia’s work encompasses landscape and abstract, often with elements drawn from folk arts and decorative patterning.
