Kiana Azizmohammadi/ 3D Art

Kiana Azizmohammadi is an interdisciplinary artist based in London whose practice is founded on rigorous craft knowledge and sustained conceptual inquiry. Trained with a BA in Handicrafts, they established ceramics as the central material of their practice before completing an MA in Fine Art that broadened their approach toward interdisciplinary production. Their work treats ceramics not merely as a functional or decorative object but as a dense vehicle of cultural and spiritual resonances, one whose material logic can be extended and reconfigured. During postgraduate study, they incorporated analog photography into their methodology, a development that sharpened their engagement with temporality and image-making. Recent projects bring ceramics into dialogue with time-based media such as video and analog photography, interrogating tensions between durability and fragility, permanence and ephemerality. Operating between applied and fine art traditions, their practice examines material paradoxes and the conceptual possibilities that emerge when craft languages are translated into contemporary visual discourse.
