Exploring the different cultural and identity identities within Romania and Eastern Europe as part of her PhD, Laura Candet identifies and studies the relationship between traditions, contemporary society, indigenous rituals, and their relevance to the present day.

Since prehistoric times, humans have used rituals to capture and understand the universe they are part of. Now more than ever, we need to reintroduce the sacred into the profane context of the present day. Thus, by studying them, the artist attempts to create a connection between the contemporary and the sacred, through dreams and the condition of art.
