Lucea was born in Derbyshire, England, and raised in the Cayman Islands, she is a Bristol-based Natsarim portrait/visual artist, she works from her faith which is her identity. Her journey through cultures has shaped a perspective that examines both the religious and emotional dimensions of society. But it is her Aba (father, the creator) who taught and teaches her the artistic perspective of Life and Ruach ( spirit).
Working primarily in portraiture and figurative art, and occasionally visual/landscapes, she paints from a secret place of ruach, high faith and trust, revealing the inner message of each subject.
Lucea’s artworks are an act of worship, reflection and service. Through colour, light and expressive detail, her works communicate hope, truth and the inherent value of Love.
Now living and creating in Bristol, UK, she continues to develop a distinctive visual ruach lead language that blends technical skill and Ruach insight. Her works invites the viewer to pause, reflect and consider deeper questions of purpose, identity and belonging. Her work reflects a lifelong appreciation for the natural world and the human Ruach.
