Lucie Krcmova/ Autumn Issue
Lucie is a Czech-born multidisciplinary artist based in London. Before finishing her master's degree in Print from the Royal College of Art, she graduated with first-class honours in Illustration and Visual Media from the University of the Arts London. She has shown in galleries across London, including Southwark Park Galleries and Copeland Gallery. In 2025 and 2026, she was shortlisted for Imprint for her works 'Labyrinth' and 'Motherboard'.
Lucie’s multidisciplinary practice focuses on layering as a form of storytelling. During her undergraduate degree, she established a nuanced relationship with the space between an object and its canvas. She channels her identity into creating cultural artefacts by overlaying selected items with imagery of personal value. Her practice uses print as a contemporary medium and pushes the boundaries of perception. Through newfound layers of nostalgia, childhood, and grief, a new understanding emerges as an image responds to its surroundings, prompting the viewer to question its new meaning.
