“Currents of Becoming (2019 - 2026) explores flow as both a physical phenomenon and a broader principle of transformation. Beginning with water in motion — the turbulent Seine, falling water, spray and spreading ripples — the series gradually expands beyond the liquid element. Flow becomes thought, light, perception, time and material memory. Reflections turn water into luminous turbulence; condensation draws imagined deltas across glass; bubbles become a visual Flux of Thought. Elsewhere, reflected light moves across architecture and fabric, a landscape dissolves through the motion of passing, and the grain of wood appears to retain the memory of a current. Even ice enters the sequence as movement temporarily arrested and transformed into another state. Across the twelve works, flow is therefore understood not simply as movement from one place to another, but as a continuous process of becoming. Matter, light and perception remain unstable: forms emerge, dissolve, change direction or leave traces behind. What connects the images is the idea that nothing is entirely fixed — water, thought, landscape and even seemingly solid matter exist within ongoing processes of transformation.”
