Riva Bryson/ 3D Art

Riva Bryson is an artist and founder of Flotsam Fables, creating sculptural and mixed-media works from found coastal materials inspired by mythology and folklore storytelling from her home studio in Wirral, UK. Her practice transforms discarded objects into evocative, story-rich pieces that explore impermanence, resilience, and quiet magic, informed by over 20 years of experience across fine art, outdoor theatre, and large-scale public artworks. She discovered a love for creating accessible art connected to craftsmanship after living and working alongside a community of artists, musicians, and performers from Welfare State International in the Lake District.

This creative environment shaped her vision for her own home studio, two decades later. Her studio space is grounded, rooted in the place and scale of the local coastal vernacular.

Riva believes art should be made and enjoyed with communities and not just confined to gallery spaces. Also holding a first class degree in Fine Art, Riva is currently exploring several projects inspired by nature and deeper revelations brought about by Carl Jung’s philosophy.
