Sadaf Gharazi/ Shadow & Light

Sadaf Gharazi is a 23-year-old Iranian photographer currently based in Isfahan, Iran. She is a senior student of Photography at the University of Art in Isfahan. Before university, she studied Photographic Arts in high school - a program combining photography and graphic design - and earned her diploma in that field.

Her works often explore social and contemporary themes, focusing particularly on the representation and presence of women in Iran's patriarchal society. Through her lens, she seeks to document and question the structures of power, identity, and gender.

Gharazi has participated in several group exhibitions, student projects, and environmental activities. Although her work is strongly centered on women's experiences and has yet to be shown in a solo exhibition, she continues to develop new series exploring the vulnerable and exhausted, and weakened bodies of mothers as well as the socio-political pressures within Iranian society.
