Sanaz Haeri/ Silenced

Sanaz Haeri is an Iranian artist born in Tehran whose practice is deeply rooted in social and civic concerns, with a particular focus on women's experiences and rights. She was an artist-in-residence in Albacete, Spain, in 2010 and has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Iran and internationally, including at the Iranian Artists Forum in Tehran and the Vela Zanetti Foundation in León, Spain.

In 2024, she was shortlisted as a finalist for both the Sovereign Art Prize and the Asian Art Prize. Her work was exhibited with the Sovereign Art Prize in Hong Kong in June 2024. She also created a comic book exploring the social and underground nightlife of Tehran, which was presented at the International Comic Festival in Lucerne, Switzerland.

Haeri has been selected for the International Human Rights Art Festival and featured in the publications Iranian Women Speak (2023) and Women's Rights (2024). In 2025, she was interviewed by the Human Rights Art Movement (New York), with the conversation featured on the organization's podcast.
