Susann Carmen Jagodzińska/ Silenced

Susann Carmen Jagodzińska is a Polish photographer, filmmaker, and writer. Through a metaphysical contemplation on existence, she explores the invisible layers of consciousness and how they influence the nature of reality.

Memory is experienced as fluid and multidimensional. Her work invites the viewer to enter a space of introspection, creating space for their own intuition and internal rhythm to complete the work. The dialog. Witnessing the body, the mind, and the heart. The disagreements between them. Slowly accepting whatever emerges. Perfect in its imperfection. As they are contemplated, the artificial structures fall appart. Only what is natural remains. She emphasizes the importance of becoming aware of one's individual history in order to regain the power to consciously influence collective aspirations. But also the importance of becoming aware of collective histories to understand how human beings resonate within universal structures.

Her work has been shown in international exhibitions and publications, as well as at international independent photography and film festivals. "Children of the golden Sun" has been shown at the 7 th Biennale de la Photographie de Mulhouse titled "Sedimentation(s)" in collaboration with PEP -Photographic Exploration Project. It is also finalist for the "Le Prix Révélation Saif x La Kabine" and will be shown at the Festival OFF Arles 2026.

She studied philosophy, ethnology, film and creation in Germany, Japan, and France. She works with Super 8, 16mm film and analog photography, sometimes painting on photographs.

She uses prose poetry, as another layer, to contemplate about the nature of human reality. “Echo of Photons” (2022), published by Céeditions, is her first photography and text monograph. She is currently working on her next book “Children of the Golden Sun” and curating the Book “Essence” for Un-Staged.
