Every place carries its own colour.

A landscape, a city, a room, a coastline, or a distant horizon can hold a particular atmosphere that is difficult to define in words, yet immediately recognisable through colour, light, texture, form, and memory. The Palette of Place explores the ways artists translate the spirit of a place into visual language—not simply by depicting where something exists, but by revealing how it feels to be there.

Place is shaped by geography, culture, history, architecture, climate, and human presence. Yet it is also deeply personal. A familiar street can become a memory; a landscape can evoke belonging or distance; an imagined place can feel as real as one we have physically inhabited. Through artistic interpretation, location becomes more than a point on a map—it becomes an emotional and sensory experience.

In this special edition, international artists approach the theme through painting, drawing, mixed media, digital art, and photography. Their works move between observation and imagination, reality and memory, documenting both recognisable environments and places transformed through personal perception.

Together, these diverse perspectives reveal that every place has its own visual vocabulary.
