ANTOANETA TICA is a Romanian lecturer, costume designer and visual artist. Her art works includes performances, wearable arts and textile works presented in numerous art projects, exhibitions, and costume performances in her home country and internationally. Interested in Anthropocene, the multiple-award-winning artist creates mainly wearable pieces in recycled materials, which, along with the approached concepts, refer to various environmental issues. In 2019 she received a PhD in Visual Art for a doctoral thesis on costume in motion: Costume for Performance – Art in Movement. She currently teaches Pattern and Garment Technology at National University of Arts of Bucharest. She is a member of the Visual Artist Union of Romania and OISTAT.
