Caitlin Driver is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice explores the intersection of the body and environment through interactive objects, immersive installations, sculpture, devices, and jewelry. Her work is informed by environmental concerns and examines the ways in which human instinctual behavior interacts with artificial and synthetic materials. In the series

“re-preserve,” for instance, Driver prompts viewers to consider their interactions with food and its packaging. The presence of synthetic materials, such as plastic wrapping around fruit, alters sensory experiences—including texture, sound, color, process, and emotional resonance. Through these investigations, Driver's work encourages critical reflection on the ways sensory perception informs our understanding and experience of the world.
