Dawn Hemming/ Spring Issue

Dawn Hemming is a textile artist and knitwear designer, the majority of her life spent on a small farm in a remote part of West Yorkshire, surrounded by sheep and trees. She is mostly self-taught and has over forty years of knitting experience. Her mandalas are influenced by nature and traditional designs used with her own invented techniques. Her textile work has appeared at the Knitting and Stitching show in London/Harrogate 2018 and smaller art exhibitions in the North of England since 2019. She is currently learning how to process wool fibre ‘from sheep to art’ including carding, dying and spinning her own yarns.
