Emma Sywyj is an award-winning artist and photographer who has been creating art for over 20 years. For five of those years, she was based in London, studying photography at Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London, where she earned a BA in Photography and a Foundation Diploma in Art & Design.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, including in New York, during Art Basel Miami, in San Francisco, Athens, and Budapest, as well as nationally across the UK, with multiple exhibitions in London. She has been published in several UK art magazines and international journals, and her video artworks have been shown in galleries and film festivals around the world.

Her practice aims to capture life at its most vibrant and exciting. Through her photography, she invites viewers to discover the intricacies and beauty hidden within the everyday. Often drawing inspiration from her immediate surroundings and cultural identity, she also celebrates the diversity of cultures across the globe. She has photographed extensively throughout Europe and Asia, documenting each country and culture through her own lived experiences. Her work inspires a sense of awe and joy in the traveler’s quest, highlighting the transformative rewards of engaging with other cultures while simultaneously deepening her own cultural identity through photography.
