Hanna Buruk/ Shadow & Light

Hanna Buruk is a Ukrainian artist currently based in Germany. Although she has always had a passion for drawing, her early professional background was in finance, having earned a diploma in that field and previously worked at a bank in Ukraine. She graduated from the Art School in Odesa in 2003.

Deeply inspired by her native city of Odesa, which lies by the sea, Buruk often depicts seascapes in her work, capturing the fluidity, light, and emotion of the coastal environment. She has participated in numerous art competitions and exhibitions across Ukraine, Germany, Italy, and the Czech Republic, and has also conducted free art masterclasses in Germany.

In March 2024, she completed a course in art marketing, further developing her professional artistic practice.
