Justyna Lacka/ Women Art

Justyna grew up in post-communist Poland, where she studied journalism before moving to UK. She travelled extensively ever since, and at one point left UK to spend three years in Asia. She returned to UK in 2018 and is currently based in the city of Bristol. She has always been interested in making art, with main focus on painting. Her most recent exhibition took place in Sheffeld, UK, with upcoming events in Bristol and Barcelona. She loves people and is fascinated by the relationships and connections they build. Her past is reflected in many of her works which show often mundane, sometimes heartbreaking snapshots of reality. She is currently working on the series called "The Hours" where each painting is a full hour between 17:00 and 4:00. Each one in a different setting, showing a different woman in a different state of mind.
