Born in Peterborough, 2001; moved to Middlesbrough, 2011. I am one of five children, four sisters and one brother. After studying the arts for eight years, I have achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art as well as a Master's Degree in Arts Practice; successfully obtaining skills and knowledge of a qualified artist practitioner. Currently, I am living with my parents; working full-time in hospitality to fund my continuation arts practice, creating new imaginative projects. I have exhibited artworks virtually and physically in various places including Pineapple Black (Middlesbrough), Stockton Library (Stockton-On- Tess), The Arc (Stockton), The Holy Art, Tebbsgallery and many more.
Using the process of scanography or otherwise recognized as photocopying images as an alternative approach to photography, images of myself are captured; engaging with emotion and explicit substance to convey truth to identity by using raw material. Images are slightly edited for printing, then with an experimentational approach images are cut, framed and scaled. Because I know myself better than any other subject, I know myself better than anyone else, I purposefully selected myself as my subject and muse, depicting my experiences through performance and imagery. Influenced strongly by artworks of jenny Saville, her unique portraits of raw exposure to the flesh showcasing vulnerability and truth. Thus, capturing my own insecurities and vulnerabilities.
