Lilly Platt-Hepworth is an Australian Artist and Designer, specializing in textile print design for fashion. After studying Graphic Design and considering a future in fashion magazines, she unexpectedly transitioned into textile design. Since then, she has worked with fashion brands and print studios worldwide, while also carving out time to nurture her personal art practice, producing more intimate and less commercial pieces often taking the form textiles like silk scarves.
Lilly grew up in the scenic Blue Mountains near Sydney, Australia, in a mud-brick house surrounded by bushland and an overgrown garden. This environment fostered a deep connection to nature, where lizards sunbathed in the living room and vines climbed through the windows. This early experience led to a fascination with the concept of the wild—things being overgrown and out of control—which continues to inform her work. Lilly's art is a celebration of nature’s complexity, capturing the colors, movement, and the unexpected balance that emerges from chaos.
