Manar Ali Hassan is a multidisciplinary artist and curator born in Beirut in 1980. She earned a master’s degree in Visual Art from the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts (ALBA) in 2019. Her artistic practice is driven by a quest for self-expression and a profound curiosity about the human experience, frequently delving into themes of identity, culture, and society.
Since 2019, her works have been exhibited in various Lebanese art spaces, including ArtLab, Arneli Art Gallery, Galerie Tanit, and Galerie Janine Rubeiz. She has also shown her work internationally in Jordan, Japan, Italy, and Spain. Her first solo exhibition, "Sagas of Painful Bodies," took place in Lebanon in 2024. In addition to her artistic endeavors, Manar has curated several exhibitions in Beirut, including “Encounters 2023” at the Beiteddine Art Festival with Galerie Janine Rubeiz, “The Human Condition” and “Transmutations” at Rebirth Beirut (2023 and 2022, respectively), and “Parallel Realms” at Zico House (2022).
