Mary is a self-taught visual artist who works primarily with hand embroidery on textiles. Since the rise of the Trump regime in the United States, her practice has focused increasingly on social issues. Rather than adopting a dogmatic tone, she incorporates wit and humor into her work to engage viewers in critical conversations. She is represented by the BE Galleries in Pittsburgh and has exhibited in museums and major venues. Mary has also participated in artist residencies across the United States, Europe, and Australia.
