Mils Bridgewater/ Women Art

Mils Bridgewater is a London based fine artist who uses glass to communicate stories and social political views. Having grown up in a rural setting her work is influenced by place and present day attitudes to farming, values, waste and the environment.

After studying for a fine art degree at City and Guilds London Art School graduating with first class honour in 2019, she went on to study glass at the Royal College of Art. Bridgewater continued her glass education with Scholarships to Pilchuck and Urban Glass in the USA and Bild-Wert in Germany. She spent three months in Stockholm at Konstfack University of the Arts on the RCA Anglo-Swedish Exchange Residency and Bridgewater held the post as the Glass Fellow at City and Guilds London art school for two years. She is currently the Glass Technician at Morley College London. Mils Bridgewater’s award winning installation "don't just stand there!" is included in the Bullseye Project: Transition in Kiln Glass currently touring museums in North America.
