Pen Dalton is of Irish extraction and lives and works in East London, England. After many years as an art lecturer in higher education, publishing theory and art criticism, she is now established as a painter. A member of The Contemporary British Painting group; Pen has exhibited and published Internationally and her work is in prominent collections.
The portraits here are of family and friends. Pen only paints people from her personal photogarph collection and for whom she has some affection. Many are associated with the club scene in London. The images here representsexperiments with different portrait genres appropriate to each identity.
