Wendy Kriz Evans/ Art & Activism

Wendy is an emerging artist who infuses her vibrant abstract creations with deep joy, bright energy, and gratitude. Based in the East Anglian region of the United Kingdom, Wendy rediscovered her love of art in mid-2024. Wendy takes inspiration from her rural surroundings, childhood memories of living by the sea and deeply individual experiences.

Though Wendy studied GCSE art in school, she took a 30-year detour into the insurance industry, earning a maths degree and completing the actuarial exams. It was following a challenging time with menopause issues that she rekindled her love for painting, using it to bring joy into her life.

Encouraged by a colleague, Wendy joined the prestigious Lloyd’s Art Group in May 2024. Her role as a consultant to insurers, including Lloyd’s syndicates, made her a perfect fit. Each November, Wendy shows in a pop-up art exhibition in the iconic Lloyd’s of London building in the heart of the City of London.

Since mid-2024, Wendy has participated in 11 gallery exhibitions, with 3 more scheduled for 2025, including a solo show at Holmfirth Tech in August. She has also exhibited in 10 online shows, with her first solo virtual exhibition at The Artfulness Gallery set for March 2025.
