Yoan Segot/ Forgotten

Yoan Segot is a French-born, London-based multidisciplinary artist working across writing, music, animation, and film photography. His practice is rooted in travel as a form of enquiry. He has always been drawn to the marks left by the passing of time: eroded landscapes, abandoned buildings, overgrowth and collapse. The rawness of things allowed to become what they are. His current project, Puer to Senex, documents a solo van journey from the UK to Nordkapp, Arctic Norway, and back. A psychogeographic memoir exploring psychological transformation through landscape and movement, and the Jungian arc toward second adulthood. The project spans a literary manuscript, a music album recorded in his van on the road, a video series, and a body of analogue photography. He shoots on a Holga 120N and a Lomomatic 110. The grain, the light leaks, the imprecision are intentional tools to go against the instinct to manage how things appear. Letting go became his artistic method. Surrender.
