Yuriy Turbin is a photographer working primarily with analog photography and handcrafted printing processes. His practice explores states that resist easy articulation — silence, anxiety, vulnerability, and the unsettling aspects of human experience. Rather than using photography as a means of documentation, he approaches it as a way of speaking through atmosphere, material, and absence. His work often moves between the physical and the psychological, exploring the relationship between image, memory, and presence. Working with analog cameras, vintage optics, and handmade processes, Turbin creates photographs where materiality and atmosphere become the narrative.
